Alder Hills Golf Course - 8 Control Points Inland Control helped our company identify what exactly we expected our irrigation system to do. Once we had that sorted out Inland Controls was then able to explain the various options available in electronic controls. In our situation we needed to control a 600 volt 3 ph 25 hp pump capable of pushing out 300 gallons per minute through a six inch pipe. We wanted to be able to use the pump to fill a coffee cup without spilling a drop. Well that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but after Inland Controls was finished setting up the VFD, it probably could have. We also had Inland Controls add on a timer so that the pump would only run from 5 am to 7 am, unless we manually bypassed the timer. This safety feature is needed as 300 gallons per minute running wild would put our golf course out of business. Our system uses a simple pressure regulator sensor to signal the VFD to speed up or slow down the pump as various block valves, that feed the 650 sprinkler heads we use on our golf course, open and close. The VFD also has a ramp up feature to prevent water pressure shock from hitting and damaging our irrigation system. I'm sure there are other features that I have forgot about as the system works so well, but Inland Controls would be happy to explain exactly what our system is capable of doing to anyone that is interested. We are very pleased with the work and equipment Inland Controls provided, therefore we are pleased to recommend Inland Controls to anyone in the market for controls and the service needed to make it work right.
